The Emma B. Howe Memorial Foundation was established in 1985 as a supporting organization of The Minneapolis Foundation through the bequest of Emma B. Howe. Ms. Howe, a long-term employee of Deluxe Check Printers, left a major portion of her stock in the company for charitable purposes. The Emma B. Howe Memorial Foundation continues to carry out its founder's vision for an improved social condition by supporting programs that address fundamental issues facing Minnesota communities. Grantmaking is focused on poor and disadvantaged children and families, disabled people, victims of discrimination, and the fields of education and health.
Please note: With the exception of Nonprofits Assistance Fund (formerly Community Loan Technologies), none of the funding partners of The Minneapolis Foundation accepts grant proposals directly. All requests for support must follow The Minneapolis Foundation's grant guidelines.
