Make a difference today by creating a charitable fund.

If you want to give now and see your charitable dollars at work, a charitable fund can provide the satisfaction of giving, along with simplicity of transactions and record keeping. You can use your fund to support charities in Minnesota, across the country, and around the world -- all with a single, tax-efficient gift.

Types of Charitable Funds

Donor Advised Fund

Recommend grants to the qualified nonprofits of your choice anytime, from anywhere. This is the most flexible fund option. You can establish a fund today with a minimum gift of $10,000.

Signature Fund

A smart alternative to charitable foundations of $1 million or more. Signature Funds combine the name recognition of a private foundation with the privacy, flexibility, and tax advantages of a Donor Advised Fund.

Designated Beneficiary Fund

The Foundation will make annual payments of income to your selected charities on behalf of the fund.

A supporting organization advances the general mission of The Minneapolis Foundation, yet it is separately incorporated and has its own board of directors.
