Donors'
choices of fund type reflect their individual
approach to philanthropy. Your
clients can give:
- now
or later
- to
any nonprofit -- whether local or national
- a
few large grants or many small ones
- anonymously
or through a named fund
While
fees depend on the specific vehicle and
giving strategy, most of our donors pay
less than they would with commercial gift
funds. For more information on giving
options and specific fees, please, please
call William Sternberg, Professional Advisor
Development Officer, at (612) 672-3825.

Supporting Organization
Supporting
Organizations can be established
by donors as separate foundations
in conjunction with The Minneapolis
Foundation. A supporting organization
supports the mission of The Minneapolis
Foundation, yet operates much like
a private foundation in that it
is separately incorporated and has
its own board of directors. The
Minneapolis Foundation provides
administrative, operations, investment,
and grantmaking support to its supporting
organizations.

Field of Interest Fund
When
you create a Field of Interest Fund,
you specify a particular area of
charitable interest (for example,
education or the arts), and the
Foundation decides which local nonprofit
organizations within that area should
receive grants from the fund. sample
